Boating can be one the most enjoyable or relaxing times here in Marquette County. You can choose over 20 different lakes that have public boat accesses for your day of fun on the water!

Nothing beats seeing the sunrise and sunset from the water, cruising up and down the lakes, jumping in for a swim, taking your friends or family out, fishing, joining a boating poker run or just plain relaxing.

There is great fishing in Marquette County, however the lakes around here are for the whole family! "Kids don't remember there best day of watching T.V.!"  So take your family out on the water for a day or a week of fun, being on the water never gets old! 

Don't have a boat no problem, some lodging facilities on the water have rentals like Lake Arrowhead and Wilderness Campground or if you are staying in a cabin without a boat or you are not on the water Pontoon & Fishing Boat RENTALS are available, Johnson's Boats & Motors delivers the pontoon rental to any lake here in Marquette County for a day or a week! They also offer docks to keep it overnight on Buffalo and Puckaway if you are not staying on the water. If you are on vacation and having running problems take it to Johnson's Boats & Motors for the best customer service, located in Montello.

Cruise up and down an 8 mile stretch on Buffalo Lake or go tubing or waterskiing on Puckaway, Tuttle & White lake. Montello Lake is wonderful to watch the 4th of July fireworks on just cruise around.  There also are plenty of local favorite swimming holes like Birch (Moon), Kilby, Sharon, Crystal plus many more.
